Jacey and Bryleigh

My aunt asked me to include more pictures of Jacey and Bryleigh on this site. This is what I have to work with for those of you wondering why their pictures are scarce:

Learning to use a spoon

The time has come to let Killian and Payton feed themselves with a spoon or fork. I’ve been playing it safe and letting them do it with fairly non-messy foods for a while, but I suppose I can’t spoon feed them forever.

Easter

First off, let me say that I did have cute Easter outfits for them, but didn’t get around to actually putting them on them. It was 90 degrees on Easter Sunday, and the thought of dressing them in fancy clothes seemed so cruel to me. So, they are in tees and shorts, or a bathing suit for most of the day.
We started off Easter Sunday at Descanso Gardens, where Papa and Grandma met up with us, to see all the baby animals in a huge petting zoo. Then we went to Papa and Grandma’s house for an egg hunt. The Easter bunny brought a new toy – a ball pit! They started hunting for eggs with their new monkey and kitty baskets, and got about 20 feet out into the yard, and of course got distracted by the new toy and the blankets on the grass. That was the end of their egg hunt. Jacey and Bryleigh finished the hunt and got way too much candy, which ended up melting in the sun, and getting thrown away at the end of the day – fine with me!
Grandma barbequed hamburgers and hot dogs, the kids played in the yard, and we just hung out for the rest of the day.

The Easter Bunny

Because every kid has to have a picture of them screaming on the Easter Bunny's lap. Payton was fine, but that's because she had her favorite doggy and her thumb. Sorry Killian - but this is just too cute.

St. Patty's Day

We love St. Patrick's Day. It usually includes drinking green beer, but this year since it was a "school night" there was no beer involved. I did make green mac 'n cheese, though. It looks really gross, but it tasted good.
